- I know I kept denying all the press reports pairing MTV VJ Jenny McCarthy and me, with my standard reply, "There's no truth to the rumours - we're just good friends." But for all of you who've braved borders to reach my homepage I have an exclusive story to thank you for surfing so far away from home. (Please don't mention this when you see me in public with another lady - it's embarassing !)
- Bill Gates came down to India a few months ago. There was a big brouhaha raised by some of the top brass of the computer industry because they didn't get to meet him. I don't really know what's the big deal here. I'll let Bill himself elaborate in a recent interview ...
- My parents think they've lost me to the Net - my friends cannot get in touch with me except through e-mail. I accept it : it's true - I'm an e-mail addict. In fact, many sites on the Net now carry warnings from ECRC (Electronic Communication Resource Commission) about me and my e-mail practices.
- The most productive use of the Net for me has been tracing my family tree to ages ago. That fateful week when I spent 12 hours a day, seven days in a row, my searches paid off. At 3:45 am, I woke up the neighbours with whoops of joy when I came across a notice posted by IHLS (Internet Heir Locator Service). I couldn't believe my eyes ! I immediately applied and am waiting for the day when instead of working, I can afford to surf all day long ...
